Imagine America Scholarship

International Brotherhood of Teamsters
- Awards are available for high school seniors who are children or grandchildren of Teamster Members. Visit www.teamster.org for more information.


U.S. Bank Internet Scholarship Program
- (30) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded in a random drawing. No essays, no minimum GPA. Apply online at www.usbank.com/studentbanking.
The program runs from Oct. - Feb 2007.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Inc.-
Students who are a son or daughter of a Marine on active duty or in the Reserve, retired or deceased are eligible to apply for scholarships ranging from $500 - $10,000.
Application deadline is March 1, 2007

MG James Ursano Scholarship Fund -
The Army relief Fund (AER) offers financial assistance for undergraduate study to dependent children of Army Soldiers. Scholarships are awarded primarily on financial need, secondarily on academic achievements and individual accomplishments. Applications can be printed or submitted from the website at: www.aerhq.org
Applications are available from November 1, 2006 - March 1, 2007.

Son of Italy Western Association-
The Sons of Italy are offering scholarships in the following categories:
*Academic Awards
*Athletic Scholarship
* Italian Language Study Grants in Italy for the summer 2007
* Returning Students Academic Scholarships.
Although each scholarship category may have specific requirements, all applicants must be wholly or partially of Italian descent, must be enrolled in an accredited trade school, college, or university for Fall 2007.

Deadline for all applications is March 1, 2007.

Shasta College - Various Scholarship Opportunities
Applications are now being accepted for a variety of scholarships being offered through Shasta College.
Caterpillar/Peterson Scholarship (3) $400.00 scholarships will be awarded to a current high school senior that will be graduating in June from high school.. His/Her intentions are to enroll fulltime in the Shasta College Diesel Technology Program in the school year. Application must include a high school transcript with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA.
Shasta College Management Team Scholarship (1) $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior that will be graduating in June 2007 from high school. His/Her intentions are to enroll at least three-quarter time at Shasta College in the 2007-2008 school year. Application must include a high school transcript with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Applicant must be able to demonstrate leadership qualities, academic excellence, and good citizenship.
Shasta College McConnell Scholar Award Multiple $500.oo scholarships will be awarded to a high school senior that will be graduating in June 2007 from high school. His/Her intentions are to enroll at least three-quarter time at Shasta College in the 2007-2008 school year. Application must include a high school transcript with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Shasta Symphony League (2) awards in the amount of $400.00 and $600.00 to a high school senior that will be graduating in June 2007 from high school. His/Her intentions are to enroll at Shasta College in the 2007-2008 school year. Applicant must have a music major or receive acceptance into the Shasta Symphony. Application must include a high school transcript with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

The deadline for all scholarships is March 1, 2007.

Sammy 2007 - Got Milk? Scholarship -
(25) $7,500 scholarships are being awarded to outstanding student athletes . Applications are available online at www.bodybymilk.com
Deadline is March 9, 2007.

Cabrillo Civic Center Scholarship -
$500.00 scholarships will be awarded to qualifying students of Portuguese descent who have maintained a GPA of at least 3.5.
The deadline is March 14, 2007.

ACT Poster Contest Scholarship -
ACT will conduct and award scholarships to the top winners. Students can enter the contest by designing a poster that encourages students to attend college and to take the ACT and college entrance exams. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Awards range from $1,000 - $5,000.
Deadline is March 15, 2007.

Italian Catholic Federation-
A $400.00 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who is Catholic, of Italian descent, and have at least a 3.2 GPA.
Application deadline is March 15, 2007

Mary C. & William Drake Scholarship-
Any student applying to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley for Fall 2007 as a freshman may apply on the basis of academic achievement and extra curricular involvement.
Application deadline is March 15, 2007

Knowledge is Power Scholarship -
(1) $500.00 will be awarded to a high school senior attending a two or four-year school pursuing a career in business studies. Students should maintain a 2.5 GPA.
Deadline is March 21, 2007.

Northern Business Associates Scholarship-
(8) $250.00 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who will attend a college or university in Shasta County (Shasta College, Simpson University, and National University). Students must have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout high school.
Application deadline is March 21, 2007

Marcia and Gary Scholarship-
(1) $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior female student who will be attending on a full time basis (12 units) an accredited 4 year college or university. Students must have maintained a 2.5 or higher throughout high school.
Application deadline is March 21, 2007

Intertribal Timber Council-
A $1,500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who is of Native American Descent and pursuing higher education in the area of Natural Resources.
Application deadline is March 23, 2007

Health Professionals Education Foundation-
Anyone interested in scholarships for Nursing or Allied Health Care careers can get info from Health Professionals Education Foundation. Web site www.healthprofessions.ca.gov or their office 1-800 773-1669. The scholarship programs are to help increase health careers in medically underserved populations
Application deadlines are March 24th 2007 and September 11, 2007.

Dominguez Hills University Scholarship-
Various scholarships are available for students who qualify and are planning on attending Dominguez Hills University in the Fall 2007.
Deadline is March 29, 2007.

The Butte College Foundation Scholarship -
100 scholarships are available for students attending Butte College in the Fall 2007. Applications are in the counseling office.
Deadline is March 30, 2007.

The Achievement Award-
A variety of scholarships are available students to students attending UC Berkeley. Applications can be found online by visiting www.scholarships.berkeley.edu
The deadline is April 1, 2007.

Anderson Grange #418-
(2) $250.00 scholarships are available to eligible seniors who meet the scholarship criteria outlined in the scholarship application.
All applications are due to the address on the application by April 1, 2007.

Sierra Central Scholarship -
(10) $1,000 scholarships are being offered to eligible high school seniors and current college students. Applications can be found online by visiting www.sierracentral.com
The deadline is April 1, 2007.

Redding Grange #446 Scholarship -
(2) $500.00 scholarships will be awarded for students whose GPA is 2.75 - 3.25 (depending on the scholarship the student is applying for) and has been or is attending an accredited college or trade school. Additional criteria is also required - see application for more information.
The deadline for all scholarships is April 1, 2007.

Military Order of the Purple Heart -
(8) $500.00 scholarships will be awarded to students based on merit, need, leadership, and composition. Applications must be returned to the address on the application.
Deadline is April 2, 2007

Region 14 American Iris Society -
(1) $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a career in horticulture, floriculture, landscaping, nursery production, or a related field.
The deadline is April 1, 2007.

Blood Source Scholarship -
(1) $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who has participated in school blood drives, has a grade point average of 3.0, and submits a one page essay.
Deadline is April 2, 2007.

Anderson Community Scholarship -
All students who attend Anderson High School and are planning on attending a university, community college, or trade school is eligible to apply for this scholarship. Please return all applications to the counseling office.
Deadline: April 11, 2006.

Shasta County Pomona Grange, No. 13 -
(1) $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a career in the medical field.
The deadline is April 15, 2007.

George Grotefend Scholarship -
Various $ amounts are available based on financial need and G.P.A. Scholarship eligibility is based upon a point system calculated from the information received from the student application. All applications should be returned directly to your high school counselor
NO LATER THAN April 16, 2007.

Redding Legal Professionals Association-Jutta B. Spruce Scholarship-
Graduating seniors who have successfully completed secretarial/business courses in high school and are planning on attending an accredited college offering a course of study in the legal field are eligible to apply.
NO LATER THAN April 18, 2007.

William C. Garcia Scholarship -
(1) $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Shasta County that participated in high school tennis. Student must be planning on attending a four-year university in the Fall 2007 and have maintained a 2.5 or higher throughout high school.
Deadline is April 18, 2007.

Scott Valley Bank -
This scholarship pays for books, tuition, and fees for a full-time student maintaining a 3.0 GPA at Shasta College and majoring in Business Administration or Finance.
Deadline is April 20, 2007.

Educational Communications Scholarship Foundation-
$101,000 of scholarship monies will be awarded to qualifying seniors who plan on attending an accredited college or trade school.
Deadline is May 15, 2007.
